Polytex S.A. is a company with a great trajectory in the manufacturing of products derived from plastic based on polyethylene, polypropylenes, additives, and virgin resins. With more than 30 years in the market, manufacturing products for mining, agriculture, sanitation, landfills, reservoirs, construction, among many others. Always innovating to adapt to the specific needs of each sector.

Our history

1986

Polytex was born in 1986 in the city of Iquique - Chile, this plant grew through the application of technology, thus managing to expand the offer to all of Chile. Producing bags and meshes.

1996

Polytex Santiago is born, our Headquarters with a modern production plant, equipped with the latest generation technology.

2000

This investment allowed us to expand the offer of our products for packing or packaging for different items such as: fertilizers, flour, animal feed, salt, sugar, chemical, mining and agricultural products, among others.

2003

We diversify with new products; Corrugated Pipe; Raschel mesh and foil for automatic packaging. Fields in which the company is currently absolutely consolidated. 

2005

POLYTEX S.A. adopted working under the Quality Management System, based on the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 Standard. With the relevant approval of the Bureau Veritas certifying entity under two accreditation bodies, such as UKAS of the United Kingdom and ANSI-RAB, currently ANAB, of the United States.

2008

New state-of-the-art production lines are incorporated for the manufacture of; Geomembranes and Smooth HDPE Pipes.

2010

Polytex Perú is born, offering Geomembranes, Bands and Raschel Meshes.

2014

Polytex Antofagasta is born, incorporating new lines of smooth and corrugated pipes. For its part, new lines of smooth pipes are incorporated in Santiago.

2016

A new line of smooth pipes is incorporated in Santiago

2019

Currently Polytex has three plants in South America; two in Chile and one in Peru. With world-class technology, high quality standards, offering our clients and allies the best products and services. Polytex Peru begins to manufacture Smooth Pipe and Corrugated Pipe.

Quality Management

Understanding and meeting the requirements and expectations of customers, with the aim of delivering products and services that meet their demands, while maintaining the sustainability of the business.

Polytex, through its Management System, constantly evaluates its goals and objectives, emphasizing the continuous improvement of its operations, satisfying its stakeholders (external and internal customers, suppliers, and others) in a better way each day.

Generate long-term mutually beneficial relationships with our suppliers of raw materials and critical inputs, in order to ensure continuity in our supply processes.

Promote coordinated work among the different areas of the company, generating instances of communication in all directions of the organization.

Provide the necessary resources to achieve in the collaborators the competencies that allow ensuring compliance with quality standards in each of our processes.

Certifications

ISO 9001, ISO CASCO 5, GAI LAP

Starting from the year 2002, Polytex in Iquique began the search for an organization in its organization, for which it initially decided to implement the Quality Management System, ISO 9001, achieving certification in 2003. Once achieved, in part, the maturation of this System in Plant, continued with other Management Systems that would complement and enhance what was achieved with ISO 9001. In the year 2005 Polytex Laboratory was certified under the GAI LAP System, accredited by the US entity, GRI (Geosynthetic Research Institute).

Currently, the Company has in all its Plants the Laboratories working under the requirements of ISO 17025 Standard and accredited by GRI as GAI LAP, likewise, each year it continues with the Follow-up Audits for its Quality, Environmental, and Safety & Occupational Health Management Systems.

However, the management certifications, Polytex has acquired internal commitments of Quality assurance, and currently, it has the Cesmec S.A. Conformity Mark ISO CASCO 5 Certification for Corrugated HDPE Pipes.
